11.2.14 BLACK YAYA

Picture From Here

Black Yaya is a pop project byDavid Ivar with front man and songwriter Herman Dune. They paint, he sings [Hermando], and his voice reminds me of a country jesus ?

Atleast it does in his acoustic delight of Gimme a Gun.

His first single, Paint a Smile on Me, is full of color and fuzzy tingly feelings that makes you dance in the street and wanna kiss strangers. And with his song Glad Tidings, it has more of a mellow 70s' vibe going for it, it's nummy. I particularly lerve the lyrics to Glad Tidings, the song kicks off with

"You got involved with some crooked cats
You thought they were blood but it wasn’t like that
They got you in trouble and they just ran like rats.."

Dune has a way with words.

Black Yaya is produced under Yuksek's label Partyfine. Dune has just finished up his first tour in the UK but is continuing around Europe in Septiembre, so keep an eye out kids.

Also, get updates on his craycray website and see what they're up to on a weekly basis.
